The title page is missing, making it difficult to establish the edition & date of publication. However the introductory, unsigned 28pp, ‘Life of James Montgomery' refers to the 7 volume Holland & Everett Edition (1854-1857) whilst there is a long presentation inscription dated Christmas 1867.
This is a single volume edition paginated I-XXXVI, 25-496, the last 22pp being
notes on the poems. The only CBEL entries matching this data are dated 1860
& 1861 the former being illustrated by Birket Foster.

The leather binding is lightly rubbed but it is really a very attractive item. £40.00
