Volume XI has pressure creasing on the upper panel's top cover & spine
which is rubbed along the head& foot losing the word “the” of the title.
The spine of volume XII is faded with two small tears at its head & a small
circular depression towards the centre not affecting either the lettering or the decoration. Internally both are very good indeed.
A very good set, all firsts with the publisher's advertisements at the rear.
A complete set of these first issues are extremely uncommon. £1,600.00
